Martin is a partner within our engineering services team. He has an extensive understanding of MEP systems which he utilises to drive value engineering, advise on risk management and give detailed cost planning advice. He works closely with the MEP design consultants and the supply chain to be abreast of the latest technologies and their implications on lifecycle and capital costs.

He is currently working on the fit out for leading tech company, Google, on its London headquarters, utilising many innovative smart technologies. He has worked on numerous exemplar schemes such as The Featherstone Building for Derwent London. Completed in 2022, it incorporated chilled slabs, providing an efficient cooling system located within the concrete between floors to allow for a clean finish.

Martin started off his cost consultancy career with nine years at a ductwork contractors before becoming an MEP PQS at Mott Green Wall, later to become Davis Langdon and then AECOM. During his eight years at Davis Langdon, Martin specialised in data centres and was also a part of the design team for Sky Studios - the first naturally ventilated broadcasting studio. With 100% of the structural timber coming from sustainable sources, it is one of the most sustainable but also technologically advanced studios in Europe.

Working in the construction industry for over 25 years, across multiple sectors, Martin has seen the full range of MEP solutions, enabling him to stay at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.
