Broughton rides a Brompton in the BCO Festival of Cycling

The BCO London 2017 Festival of Cycling, saw keen exigere cyclists Martin Broughton, David Happell and Niall Aitken back in the saddle for a full day of events.

For the morning session, Club Peloton (supported by our own Niall Aitken) had arranged three separate routes of 50, 100 and 150kms to provide a challenge for a range of abilities. The exigere riders all chose and successfully completed the longest route, finishing at the Lee Valley Velodrome before lunch.

The afternoon took a more competitive twist with a Brompton Bike Race at the Velodrome. After winning their respective heats, Martin, David and Niall took their place in the final where a fantastic performance saw exigere take 2nd, 3rd and 4th spots. Although the team seem reluctant to say in what order. Can anyone help?

The exigere squad had a thoroughly enjoyable day with Martin Broughton adding:

“Huge congratulations to Ben Stuart at Make Architects who put in a fantastic performance and pipped us to first place. Also, massive thanks to Club Peloton who put on an amazing event, the spirit and competition on the day was fantastic and a credit to everyone involved.”
